Metallica, Korn, Radiohead, Gojira, Megadeth y más nominados a los Grammy, revisa el listado completo
Ya se han revelado los nominados a los premios Grammys 2017, el prestigioso (aunque bastante cuestionable) premio de reconocimiento a la música que se realiza año tras año, y el rock ya tiene sus candidatos, aunque para Album del año la mano está tendida práctica y derechamente al pop, pero en en sus categorías el rock tiene a varios nominados que estarán compitiendo por el preciado galardón.
En álbum rock del año han sido nominados «California» de Blink-182, «Tell Me I’m Pretty» de Cage the Elephant, el potente «Magma» de Gojira, «Death of a Bachelor» de Panic! At the Disco y «Weezer» (álbum Blanco), dejando varios interesantes lanzamientos fuera.
En tanto por Mejor Perfomance de Rock tenemos compitiendo a «Joe (Live from Austin City Limits)» – Alabama Shakes, «Don’t Hurt Yourself» Beyoncé Featuring Jack White, «Blackstar» David Bowie, «The Sound of Silence (Live on Conan)» de Disturbed y «Heathens» de Twenty One Pilots, mientras en Mejor Performance Rock la competencia la libran «Shock Me» con Baroness, «Silvera» de Gojira, «Rotting in Vain» de Korn, «Dystopia» de Megadeth y «The Price Is Wrong» con Periphery.
En mejor álbum de música alternativa compiten «22, A Million» -Bon Iver, «Blackstar» de David Bowie, «The Hope Six Demolition Project», el regreso de PJ Harvey, «Post Pop Depression» con Iggy Pop y «A Moon Shaped Pool» el esperado disco de Radiohead
Metallica y su regreso con «Hardwired…to Self-Destruct» no tiene nominaciones por álbum pero si como mejor canción rock, justamente por el primer single «Hardwired» que va a la pelea con Blackstar» de David Bowie, «Burn the Witch» con Radiohead, «Heathens» de Twenty One Pilots y «My Name Is Human» con Highly Suspect.
